St. John Nursing Scholarships

Supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals

Each year, the Ascension St. John Foundation awards scholarships to qualified associates and/or nursing students within our community to help further their education. Individual scholarship awards range from $1,000 - $5,000.

In 2026, the Foundation awarded more than $117,000 in total scholarships to 65 local recipients in the Tulsa Metro and Bartlesville areas. The next application period for scholarships will open in March 2027.

Eligibility and application guidelines

The Ascension St. John Foundation provides scholarships to qualified Ascension St. John associates* and community nursing students in northeast Oklahoma who are enrolled in a nursing degree program at an accredited college or university. Scholarships will be awarded for their upcoming academic year.

Scholarships are available for qualified students in the following programs: Licensed Practical Nursing; Associates in Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing or Masters of Nursing.

Among the information you'll need to apply:

An official copy of your most recent academic transcript with cumulative GPA
A professional or academic reference
Anticipated tuition/fees for the coming academic year
Community nursing students who are training at an accredited program can apply
Ascension St. John Associates who work in Oklahoma as well as southern Kansas clinics are also eligible to apply
